The Career Readiness Center is a print shop run by the students in Cherokee County School District's Transition Academy. The Transition Academy is a program that serves students with cognitive disabilities between the ages of 18 and 22 who have completed all academic requirements and graduated from high school. In this program, students learn both vocational skills and independent living skills to help them transition into a more independent adulthood.
The students work on various job sites in the community and in-house where they learn different vocational skills.
If you have a project you’d like the Transition Academy students to complete, email your ideas to careerreadinesscenter@cherokeek12.net, and we can answer your questions!
